Privacy notice
Hirechain stores personal data when you submit an employer enquiry or create a job alert. An enquiry contains your name, company, email address and message. A job alert contains your email address and the selected board filters.
How the data is used
Hirechain uses the enquiry to assess the hiring request, respond to you and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. The form does not add you to a marketing list.
Job alerts use consent as their lawful basis. Hirechain first sends a time-limited double-opt-in link. Unconfirmed alerts never receive job digests. After confirmation, the selected filters are used to send at most one daily email containing summaries and canonical links for new matching live jobs.
Cookieless attribution aggregates
Hirechain may record daily server-side counts showing the HDN hostname, bounded route template, bounded referring source and action, such as a job view, call-to-action selection, enquiry or job-alert registration. Another HDN hostname retains its registry value, major search/social/job sources use a small named category, and every other referrer becomes “other”. Referral paths, query strings and fragments are discarded. Requested paths are reduced to known templates, so an unknown or token-bearing path also becomes “other”. A referral from another HDN hostname can be classed as an internal hop. These counts use no visitor identifier or attribution cookie and cannot reconstruct an individual's journey. Raw network addresses and user-agent strings are not stored with the aggregates. They do not contain the enquiry message or alert email address.
Rate limiting and service operation
A client network address supplied by the trusted Cloudflare edge may be used temporarily in one application process to limit repeated validated submissions. It is not stored in the enquiry record or included in the enquiry notification. Daily database caps apply to employer enquiries and job-alert registrations for the same domain and email address and to each domain's total accepted submissions. Hosting infrastructure may also process routine request metadata to deliver and secure the service.
Retention and contact
Employer enquiries are business records. Automated deletion is disabled by default; if explicitly approved and enabled, daily maintenance deletes enquiries older than 730 days. Legal holds prevent deletion. Cookieless attribution aggregates are retained for no more than 180 days. Unconfirmed alerts are purged after seven days. One-click unsubscribe stops digests immediately and the alert row is purged after a seven-day grace period; its delivery accounting is deleted with it. Confirmed alerts are kept only while the subscription remains active. To ask about your data, request deletion, or query a legal hold, reply to the Hirechain contact handling your enquiry.
