About the role
Lead and mentor the database engineering team while remaining hands-on with the support, security, and administration of production databases. Own high availability, capacity planning, and disaster recovery, and partner with quants, researchers, and traders on data solutions and analytical database modernization. Requires proven hands-on technical leadership, deep production expertise in SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL, and experience in on-premises Linux/UNIX environments. Scripting with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible is advantageous, along with the ability to work proactively under live trading pressures.
